San Marino Innovation issues the certification to companies wishing to offer co-working spaces and services in general to support the creation and development of companies with a high technological content through the creation of incubators, accelerators and scientific and technological parks.
Requirements:
Being a company of San Marino law.
Hold an active industrial or service license.
Possess specific requirements relating to premises, personnel, equipment.
Demonstrate proven experience in supporting start-up and development of innovative companies.
How to obtain the Certification of Incubator, Accelerator and Science and Technology Park.
To obtain the certification, the appropriate application (online form) drawn up and finalized, or complete in every part, must be sent to San Marino Innovation.
Alternatively, at the express authorization of the Institute, a replacement certification can be produced by auditors of proven reputation and internationally recognized.
In order to access the appraisal process, San Marino Innovation is due to pay a fee of € 3,000, which, if successful, will be deducted from the annual fee of the first release of the certification. In case of non-payment, the evaluation will not proceed.
The most important elements for the assessment:
Entrepreneurial characteristics and team skills.
Technical characteristics of the structure, premises, personnel and equipment.
Technical documentation that validates the feasibility and sustainability of the project.
Sources and nature of funding.
San Marino Innovation communicates the outcome of the evaluation within 30 current days from the date of submission of the application by e-mail. In case of a negative result, it is possible to re-submit the application. The certification will be issued within 15 days from the communication of the result.
Registration for the Incubators, Accelerators and Science and Technology Parks Registry
Within 5 current days from the day of issue of the certification, San Marino Innovation registers the enterprise in the "Register of Incubators, Accelerators, Science and Technology Parks" in which the enterprises in possession of the certification are registered.
The certification is valid for twelve months. The renewal procedures must be activated within 90 days prior to the deadline.
San Marino Innovation verifies, with periodic checks, that the provisions of the business project presented are respected. If the verifications and assessments have had a negative outcome, the Institute communicates the revocation of the certification to the Economic Activities Office.
