San Marino Innovation, in order to give maximum transparency to the relationships with the subjects or the operators with whom it enters in relationship, gives the opportunity to become a Certified Partner with different typologies and operative partnership models both to enterprises of San Marino law and to enterprises ester.

Requirements to present the Partnership application:

  • The identification of one or more innovative projects with high technological content, research or development and / or implementation of digital and technological applications.

  • The contribution of human, intellectual, economic and / or technological resources and any other suitable resource to pursue the aims of the projects.

Objectives of the projects and social aims of the Institute for Innovation:

  • Economic growth and creation of technological excellence.

  • New entrepreneurial culture and innovation.

  • Increase in research activities.

  • Development of a new economy that uses innovation as an engine for the growth of competitiveness of the Republic of San Marino.

  • Study of innovation strategies for the Public Administration.

  • Development and implementation of projects aimed at implementing the San Marino Digital Agenda (ADS).

Why become a Certified Partner

The certification of attribution of the status of Certified Partner allows the company to:

  • Use the "San Marino Innovation Certified Partner" logo.

  • Establish one or more research and development consortia with other enterprises based in San Marino or abroad, including San Marino Innovation.

  • Participate in events, courses, conferences as well as any other initiative organized or promoted by the Institute.

  • Being involved in institutional initiatives related to its operational area and promoted or supported by San Marino Innovation.

  • Participate in multi-sector technological aggregation initiatives with the aim of developing cooperation between business systems and technological competence centers.

  • To be involved in working groups dedicated to the preparation of regulatory proposals for the Institute.

Type of Partnership

The Certified Partner Status is classified in one of the following types of Partnerships (art.6):

  • Strategic Certified Partner: the subjects and operators who present a project of an intellectual and conceptual nature, which therefore does not require an evaluation of the technology proposed in the project itself.

  • Technological Certified Partner: subjects and operators presenting a technological project for which it is necessary to carry out an assessment of the adequacy and suitability of the technology used for the project itself (and applications to gain access to the status of Technological Certified Partner will open soon).

How to obtain the status of Certified Partner

Individuals who intend to have collaboration and / or partnerships with San Marino Innovation must make a specific application (online form) drawn up in all its parts.

Alternatively, at the express authorization of San Marino Innovation, the applicant can produce a substitutive certification of a part or all the requested documents issued by auditors of proven reputation and internationally recognized.

In order to access the evaluation process, the payment of a fee of € 1,500 is due to San Marino Innovation, which, based on the type of partnership and in case of a positive outcome, will be deducted from the annual fee of the first release of the certification . In the event of non-payment, no assessment will be made.

It is absolutely forbidden for instants to make attempts to unduly influence the person in charge of the technical evaluation of the application, as well as the Institute itself. Behaviors of this type determine the rejection of the request, as well as the foreclosure to the presentation of further requests.

Evaluation of the instance

San Marino Innovation communicates the outcome of the evaluation, within 30 current days from the date of submission of the application by e-mail. In the event of a negative outcome, it is possible to re-submit the request for the attribution of the status of Certified Partner.

The certification is issued within 15 current days from the communication of the positive outcome of the application and is valid for 12 months. In the 90 days preceding the expiration of the certificate, the interested party must activate the renewal procedures.
